Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need a special license to drive an RV?

No, a standard valid driver’s license is sufficient to drive all of our RVs.

2. What is the minimum age to rent?

You must be at least 25 years old and have a valid drivers license to rent an RV from us.

3. What is included in the cost?

4. Are pets allowed?

We do have a “pet policy” and typically allow small to mid size, groomed pets to travel and stay with our guests during their rental. All pets must be preapproved and we charge an additional $50 for the extra hypo allergenic cleaning that we have to do upon its return. The renter is 100% responsible for any damage to the RV that their pet causes.

5. Do I need to hook the RV up to power, water and sewer at a campsite?

Not necessarily, but it is always a good idea to stay somewhere with ‘full hook-ups’. This will include electricity, water and sewer. TV and internet is completely optional. Having full hook-ups will allow you to utilize all the features of the RV such as AC and microwave.

6. What if the campsite doesn’t have full hookups?

You can “boondock” (no hookups), but you will need to manage battery power and water usage, and the generator may be needed for AC or microwave. The generator runs off of the vehicle’s gasoline tank until it gets down to 1/4 tank.

7. What if I break down?

Mid Ohio RV Rentals understands things happen. Please contact us immediately. You are not authorized to perform any work on the RV rental. Depending on what is wrong we will do our very best to get you back on the road. If it is no fault of your own or neglect and is just an RV issue we will cover the repairs. If it is determined that you, the renter is at fault, such as a blown tire, you will cover the repairs. If Mid Ohio RV Rentals cannot get you back on the road, you will be refunded the difference for your remaining trip. We do not cover any hotels or car rentals.

8. Is insurance provided with the RV rental?

No. You will need to provide your own insurance through a binder. Otherwise you can purchase Mid Ohio RV Rental’s coverage. Prices currently are $51/day. Prices subject to change based on the insurance policy.

9. Will my personal insurance company cover RV Rentals?

14. Do you offer pickup and delivery? What about setup and teardown?

Yes. The cost is $275 for a 60 mile radius. This does not include your fuel and counts towards the daily mileage allowance. The renter covers the fuel expense to get the RV wherever it needs to go. Delivery times are not guaranteed! We make our best attempt to arrive at the specified times, due to many unforeseen circumstances, we arrive as soon as possible. Setup and tear down are included in the fee, however, we do charge a fee of $50/hr for waiting to pickup a renter that is delayed.

15. What needs to be done prior to returning the RV?

The RV needs to be refueled to the same level as it was during the check out process or departure, if being delivered. Dump the waste tanks prior to leaving the campsite if available, otherwise we will handle it as part of your prep fee. All kitchen items cleaned and put away. Please wipe down all surfaces and sweep floors to be “broom clean”. Empty refrigerator and pantry and take with you all your personal effects and trash.
